Games Windows Live Offline Account

What is an offline account for Windows Live?
What is an offline account? This is regarding the Windows Live PC game… Some people say that if you don’t have a Live account, you can create an offline account that enables you to save your game’s progress… Is that true? Does that also mean that the game’s product key is not required?
***Thanks a million in advance***
You still need the product key.
Basically, when you start the game on your PC, it’ll ask you sign in or create a Windows Live account so you can contact your friends, save games, etc. for that game. However, some either don’t have access to the internet or don’t want an online account, so the game allows you create an offline account so you can play the game, but you won’t have access to the features Windows Live provides (which isn’t much, in my opinion).
Basically:
- You need the product key to install the game
- When opening the game, a Windows Live window shows up before you can play asking you to register or login.
- However, there’s an option to use an Offline Account.
- Selecting that lets you play the game normally, but you’re not using a Windows Live account and can’t use the features that are assigned with that.
Happy gaming.
